Airbus is in a fight for survival

The CEO of Airbus SE (a European multinational aerospace corporation that mainly makes jet planes and military aircraft), Guillaume Faury, has announced that his company has lost over a third of its business and that it seeking urgent financial help to survive. Airbus has applied for government-backed assistance and is also reducing its production line from 60 to 40 planes per month for the A320 family and will only continue to produce a handful of A330s and A350s. The plane manufacturing company may be forced to cut jobs and completely close some production lines. Life is almost back to normal in many European countries but the effect caused by the coronavirus on the economy has been disastrous. 27th of April 2020.
