Today, China Eastern Airlines (a Chinese airline based at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport) has become the world’s biggest airline, overtaking Southwest. Travel restrictions in China have relaxed, so airlines there can do what they do in an almost normal fashion. It is incredible that the USA has finally been thrown of the podium. Maybe this is the sign of a new era for Asia and that the USA and Europe have had their turn or maybe it’s just that the coronavirus has damaged the West too much. I really don’t know, but boy is China soaring through the skies now. As promised, part 4 of my series on the Boeing 737 will be coming soon. 5th of May 2020.
