3 people have died and 1 child has been injured in a light plane crash in the town of Wegel, to the north of Düsseldorf, Germany. According to witnesses who saw the accident, the aircraft hit a hot-air balloon in mid-air before crashing into an apartment block. A parachute was found near the crash site and it is not clear whether the 3 people who died were in the plane or the apartment block at the time of the crash. The victims have not been identified and the plane had a capacity of 2 people. My thoughts are with the families of the victims, even though they remain unidentified. 26th of July 2020.
