Armenia’s Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) suspended Atlantis Armenian Airlines’ (a light aircraft specialist) licence on the 11th of August for 7 months. The Head of the CAC’s Airworthiness Department, Karen Gyurjyan, told local media outlet Hetq that the reason for the airline’s suspension had nothing to do with safety issues, but with financial issues. Atlantis Armenian Airways currently operates 3 Airbus A320s, 2 of which are parked at Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport and the other one in the capital of Moldova, Chisinau. 26th of August 2020.
