Start-up Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has received its 1st aircraft, an Airbus A321neo. The aircarft, fitted with 2 Pratt & Whitney PW1100Gs, was originally ordered by the airline’s parent company, Wizz Air, but then went through a sale-and-leaseback process with Singapore-based BOC Aviation, an aircraft lessor. The airline is also getting ready to receive another Airbus A321neo.
Currently, it is planning to start operations on the 1st of October this year, with flights from Abu Dhabi International Airport to Kutaisi, Georgia and Odessa, Ukraine. Its network will be comprised of 6 destinations: David the Builder Kutaisi Intenational Airport in Kutaisi, Georgia; Zvartnots International Airport, in Yerevan, Armenia; Larnaca International Airport in Larnaca, Cyprus; Borg El Arab Airport in Alexandria, Egypt; Athens Intenational Airport in Athens, Greece and Odessa International Airport in Odessa, Ukraine.
