Peach takes delivery of its 1st Airbus A320neo

Japanese LCC Peach Aviation has taken delivery of its 1st Airbus A320neo. The airline has 27 more A320neos and 6 Airbus A321LRs (the Long Range version of the A321neo) in its order book. Peach Aviation’s A320neos have a 188-seat, single-class layout and will permit the airline to expand its operations in Japan. Peach Aviation already has 32 Airbus A320ceos in its fleet. At the end of August this year, Airbus had received a total of 7445 firm orders for the A320neo family from over 110 customers worldwide. 84 orders were for the A319neo (the smallest version, which has a maximum capacity of 160 passengers and a 2-class seating of between 120 and 150 passengers), 3964 were for the A320neo (the medium-sized version, which has a maximum capacity of 194 passengers and a 2-class seating of between 150 and 180 passengers) and 3397 for the A321neo (the largest version, which has a maximum capacity of 244 passengers and a 2-class seating of between 180 and 220 passengers). Peach Aviation’s fleet is uniquely comprised of the 32 AirbusA320ceos and the 1 Airbus A320neo that I’ve written about before and has 8 Airbus A320ceos on order. The airline flies to 19 destinations, 13 of which are in Japan, 2 in Taiwan, 1 in Thailand, 1 in China, 1 in Hong Kong and 1 in South Korea. It merged with Vanilla Air (another Japanese LCC) in October of last year and 7 of Vanilla Air’s aircraft went to Peach Aviation. 1st of October 2020.
