Airbus is to raise its Airbus A320neo production rate from 40 to 47 aircraft a month starting in the 2nd half of next year. The production rate was reduced from 60 due to the negative financial impact of the coronavirus on Airbus. Therefore the 40 Airbus A320neo per month production rate will be kept up until summer next year. Airbus is also planning to eliminate 15’000 jobs and has seen its share price get lowered by 51% in comparison to last year. 28th of October 2020.
