Montenegro Airlines (the flag carrier of Montenegro) will introduce flights from the Montenegrin capital Podgorica to the cities of Kiev (the capital of Ukraine), Lisbon, Istanbul and Prague from the 28th of March next year. These flights will all be seasonal, taking place in the summer. The airline has already created a flight schedule for the Podgorica-Kiev route, but hasn’t for the other routes. This route will begin of the 3rd of April and will take place each Wednesday and Saturday will be flown by an Embraer 195. Montenegro Airlines intended to begin flights to Lisbon and Istanbul earlier on this year, but wasn’t able to do so due to travel restrictions caused by the pandemic. Its competition will be on the Podgorica-Kiev and Podgorica-Istanbul routes, where it will be competing for tickets with Windrose Airlines (a Ukrainian charter airline) and Turkish Airlines respectively. Windrose also operates a route between Kiev and the Montenegrin seaside resort of Tivat. Montenegro Airlines has a fleet of 3 Embraer 195s and 1 Fokker 100. 12th of December 2020.
