South Africa is looking for a new flag carrier

South Africa is looking for a new flag carrier. South African Airways (the flag carrier of South Africa) hasn’t yet ceased operations but it is technically insolvent and will soon be liquidated. The plan to create a new flag carrier for South Africa is being backed by South African Airways’s near 5000-strong workforce. Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan announced from Pretoria (the capital of South Africa): ” the old SAA is dead, there is no doubt about that”. This is very sad, as the airline has been operating since 1934 and is one of Africa’s biggest airlines. And, if you wish to read more on Aeronews24 about South African Airways, please go on my 1st article about Virgin Australia. 3rd of May 2020.

Farewell, South African Airways.
