Bombardier Aviation is going to cut 2500 jobs, particularly in its Canadian manufacturing divisions, due to the coronavirus. The aircraft manufacturer has almost completely left the commercial aviation industry, as it has decided that it mainly wants to focus on executive jets. But, it has recently announced that its business jet deliveries are 30% down this year. Bombardier also makes trains and employs a total of 60000 employees in both sectors. We will wait to see what happens next after the airline’s 2nd quarter briefing on the 6th of August. I must say… it’s kind of getting normal to see all these jobs being cut. BAD news. 5th of June 2020.
