London City Airport has announced today that it will pause its £480 million expansion of its terminal due to low passenger numbers. The airport will postpone the works from the end of this year. On the other hand, 8 new aircraft stands that have been specifically made to accomodate new, more efficient aircraft such as the Airbus A220 and Embraer E2 will still be completed by the end of this year. London City Airport expects that passenger numbers will be far lower than the 5.1 million who travelled last year. According to media.londoncityairport.com, a full-length parallel taxiway will also be completed by the end of this year. LOT flights to Vilnius from London City Airport will resume on the 31st of August. 13th of August 2020.
